2

Build a stronger foundation in a previous course:

Difficulties in a current course may stem from a previous knowledge gap. Previous subjects can be taught in their entirety or may be used as a supplement as we work through your current course.

3

Explore and prepare for a future course:

For students looking to advance their coursework and move ahead in math. This is also a good option for students wanting to study over the summer and prepare for the upcoming school year.

Course Subjects

Algebra 1

When numbers become letters, and knowns become unknowns. Algebra 1 lays the groundwork for all future courses by introducing variables, equations, and problem-solving strategies. I focus on cementing conceptual understanding so students feel confident moving forward.

Geometry

Space, shapes, and relationships. Geometry is where math becomes an argument—students learn how to reason, explain their thinking, and justify their answers using logic and proof. I help students develop both visual intuition and clear mathematical reasoning.

Algebra 2

Wait, there’s more! Algebra 2 builds on Algebra 1 by expanding on functions, equations, and graphs while introducing new concepts that prepare students for advanced math. I help students strengthen foundations while making sense of increasingly complex material.

Trigonometry

It’s triangle time. At the intersection of Algebra and Geometry, Trigonometry focuses on the relationships between angles and sides and introduces some powerful functions. These ideas often appear as part of what schools call pre-calculus.

Calculus 1

If Algebra is the foundation, Calculus is the culmination. Focused on rates and accumulation of change, Calculus has serious applications in our ever-changing world. One of my favorite areas of math, I help students build strong conceptual understanding and solid technical skills.

Test Prep

Yes, math appears on both the SAT and ACT and is mainly centered around Algebra and Geometry. I help students master concepts, develop effective test-taking strategies, and overcome test anxiety so that they can feel confident on test day.
